Some people keep on well-trod paths while others follow those less traveled. I have chosen both. I was a professor of liberal studies at Lesley University and the Union Institute and University. My love of words, images and humor evolved into a career as a cartoonist and author.
My appreciation for the absurd inspired me to become a “minor domo” for the annual Ig Nobel Award Ceremony. A passion for travel led to a six-month sailing trip from Spain to Dubai aboard the racing yacht Rogue Wave. I have run half-marathons and participated in 100-mile charity bicycle rides. I collaborate on comics projects that support efforts to end the poaching of elephants and other endangered animals.
